In-N-Out Burger is looking for a Workers Compensation Claims Administrator This role will be located in Irvine, CA and reports directly to the Senior Claims Manager, and is responsible for reviewing and investigating all reports of Associate injury.  This requires excellent verbal and written communication, ability to read and interpret reports of injury, medical reports and legal documents. Requires attention to detail in completing state specific and period end reports.  Should have excellent understanding of multi-jurisdictional workers compensation processes and procedures with emphasis on California.  5-8 years of Workers Compensation adjusting experience required with an emphasis on California. Proficient with Risk Management Information operating system (RMIS). Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.

*This role is based full time in office

General Responsibilities

  • Review and respond to associate injury reports
  • Review and respond to correspondence from adjusters, attorneys, and medical providers
  • Set up workers’ compensation claims and provide correspondence to associates per jurisdiction
  • Review medical reports and update work status; follow up with stores to confirm status
  • Respond to associate inquiries regarding open workers’ compensation issues and assist with resolution
  • Respond to inquiries from managers, district managers, risk management, and HR
  • Complete period-end reports
  • Assist in management training
  • Perform other job-related duties as required


Work Schedule & Benefits

  • Onsite, in office hours in Irvine, CA: Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-5:00 pm
  • Department needs will call for occasional overtime

  • Salary Pay Range: $101,600 - $127,000* 

*Represents the expected salary range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we'll consider your experience and other job-related factors.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 5–8 years of claims adjusting experience in multiple jurisdictions, with emphasis on California
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to interpret injury, medical, and legal reports
  • Knowledge of multi-jurisdictional workers’ compensation processes and procedures, especially California
  • Ability to evaluate and analyze claims, exercise judgment, and resolve files in collaboration with TPA adjusters
  • Compliance knowledge of state, legal, statutory, and regulatory claims handling requirements
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (advanced) and RMIS operating systems (Riskonnect, Origami, Klear AI preferred)
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
  • Certifications
  • WCCP or SIP preferred

Work Location Details

In-N-Out Burger plans to bring its west coast headquarters team back together under one roof by the end of 2029. After maintaining two Southern California office locations for many years, the company will permanently close its Irvine office in 2029 and once again headquarter the company’s western territory solely in Baldwin Park, California, where the company was founded in 1948.

Newly hired Associates in Irvine will be eligible to participate in the group move to Tennessee with relocation assistance or work from our western headquarters in Baldwin Park, CA, upon its opening in 2029.
