The In-N-Out Burger I.T. team has an excellent opportunity for a Technical Business Analyst I in the Irvine, CA office.  The Technical Business Analyst (Level 1) is responsible for gathering and documenting business and technical requirements, assisting in process flow documentation, and acting as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams. This entry-level role supports project execution by ensuring clear communication and structured documentation.  This role reports into the IT Enterprise Architect.

General Responsibilities
Assist in gathering, documenting, and analyzing technical and functional requirements from business users.
Work with stakeholders to identify business needs and translate them into user stories or specifications.
Create basic process flow diagrams, wireframes, and use cases.
Support meetings between business teams and technical teams, ensuring alignment.
Assist in testing, validating requirements, and supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Work closely with senior analysts and solution architects to refine requirements and process flows.


Work Schedule + Benefits
Full-time, Non-Exempt, Hourly 
Pay Range: $34.98-$36.00 per hour 
The above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we'll consider your experience and other job-related factors. 
Office hours in Irvine, CA: M-F, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or IT, Data Analysis, Business, or related field preferred
In lieu of a degree, will accept experience in technical business analysis, or a related industry
0-2+ years experience in business analysis or a similar role
Basic understanding of SDLC, Agile, or Waterfall methodologies
Familiarity with process modeling tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart, BPMN)
Good communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams
Understanding of databases, APIs, or technical documentation is a plus




Work Location Details 

In-N-Out Burger plans to bring its west coast headquarters team back together under one roof by the end of 2029. After maintaining two Southern California office locations for many years, the company will permanently close its Irvine office in 2029 and once again headquarter the company’s western territory solely in Baldwin Park, California, where the company was founded in 1948. 

Newly hired Associates in Irvine will be eligible to participate in the group move to Tennessee with relocation assistance or work from our western headquarters in Baldwin Park, CA, upon its opening in 2029.
