We currently have an opening for a Spread Coordinator working out of our Chino Spread Warehouse. The Spread Coordinator reports to the Spread Manager and is responsible for supporting the Spread Production efforts in our Chino, CA and Lancaster, TX plants. This individual is responsible for project coordination, inventory management, ordering of supplies, ingredient tracking/tracing, and overseeing production schedules based on data analytics, with the intention of minimizing any downtime. 

General Responsibilities: 

  • Inventory Management-- Understanding all existing and new supplies, Monitor and update inventory records to reflect real-time movements, usage, and stock levels. Inventory to be maintained through use of computer and or Canopy/Oracle software, ensure inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts, reconciliations, and system audits, and work with production teams to validate inventory discrepancies identified. May assist with receiving and inspecting incoming material, confirming accuracy of orders and shipments received and that they meet company quality standards.
  • Ordering Supplies-- Re-ordering all supplies based on physical inventory assessments, which may require Research of new supplies/parts will be required along with some assistance from supervisor.
  • Project Management/Coordination—May oversee or contribute to various projects impacting Production. This includes but is not limited to coordinating routine and preventative maintenance, coordinating equipment changes or enhancements, ingredient changes or enhancements, and technological advancements or changes for production or as required to integrate with broader Company changes.
  • Ingredient Tracking/Tracing-- Create production entries for ingredients, work in process, and finish goods to ensure accurate traceability of finished product and ingredients within. Enter and verify daily production data for spread production activities in the designated system (e.g., ERP or manufacturing software). Occasional inspection of ingredient storage to ensure accurate labelling and FIFO rotation.
  • Production Schedule/Analytics—Assist with maintaining a production target, with consideration for production metrics requiring data interpretation, to maintain a schedule that minimizes down-time and disruptions.
  • Administrative Duties—Responding to emails, answering calls, setting up meetings, and other administrative support for Spread Production.

Work Schedule + Benefits:

  • Full-time position, Hourly (non-exempt) 
  • Pay Range: $28.00 to $31.00/hourly DOE
The above represents the expected pay range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we'll consider your experience and other job-related factors
  • Hours: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; some overtime as needed 
  • 5 days per week (Rotating Schedule)
  • Weekend and holiday availability required

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a food production setting or similar responsibilities.
  • Project management skills and prior experience working with an ERP or other inventory management/ingredient tracing system (SAP / Oracle / Canopy). 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint 
  • Forklift Certification 
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving experience
  • Knowledge of HACCP, GMPS, and other food safety and quality standards
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work without constant supervision

Physical Demands/Requirements:

  • Ability to lift a minimum of 70 lbs. 
  • Ability to withstand varied weather conditions, such as cold and heat, extreme wet, within closed surroundings
  • Will work in cold, damp environments.
  • Production room temperatures are as low as 26 degrees Fahrenheit
  • Position requires frequent lifting, standing, reaching, climbing, pulling, stooping, bending, and kneeling
  • Maintain constant mental focus and constantly be aware of surroundings
