We have an excellent opportunity for a full-time Quality Control Technician (Spread Operations) based in our Lancaster, TX facility. This QC Technician will be directly responsible for conducting and maintaining the Quality Assurance and Food Safety environment, along with product and environmental sampling. The QC Technician also works collaboratively with the Warehouse, Spread Operations and FSQA teams to ensure effective management and execution of food safety protocols. This person will report to the Quality Control Supervisor.
General Responsibilities:
• Work in refrigerated production areas monitoring, documenting, verifying, and reviewing quality, food safety and sanitation standards, programs, equipment, and procedures. This includes FSMA (FDA), Process Control, SSOP, SOP, GMP, SPS, Food Défense, Supplier and Product Specifications, pest control and other pre-requisites
• Conduct sampling (e.g. flow test, percentage of green), testing (e.g. ATP) and inspecting (e.g. pre-operational and operational) of production processes, environment and products to ensure product quality, wholesomeness and sanitary conditions
• Ensuring that only quality and wholesome products are available to be prepared and served to customers
• Calibrate and use sampling, weighing and temperature monitoring equipment to ensure accuracy and consistency
• Assist with monitoring warehouse and production facilities’ conditions and communicate any deviations to INOBs standards as it pertains to Food Safety, Security, and Quality
• Ensuring compliance with all regulatory program requirements, executing SOPs, reporting food safety and quality concerns, including reporting any concerns or issues pertaining to Food Security
• Continue professional development in Quality Assurance, Sanitation, Regulatory Affairs, Food Microbiology and other core technical competencies. This includes attending industry related workshops and mandatory yearly trainings that will provide industry updates on regulations and processes
• Perform other work-related job duties as required. This may include assisting or contributing to special projects.
Work Schedule + Benefits:
• Full-time, Hourly Non-Exempt
• Facility location: Lancaster, TX
• Schedule: Four (4) days per week, Ten (10) hours per day
• In the future, this will go to 5, (8) hour days
• Rotate between day and second shifts approximately every four weeks
• Some overtime will be required
• Flexible scheduling required, to include nights, weekend and holiday availability

Qualifications for INO associates:
• In-N-Out Burger Store experience: Level 4 or higher
• In-N-Out Burger Cookout experience: Level 4 or higher
• Associate must be in good standing with the store (no written warnings within the last 6 months preferred)
Additional qualifications:
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science or related field preferred
• FSMA (Food Safety Modernization Act) Training preferred
• Preventive Controls for Human Food Trained Training preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• An eye for detail and the ability to remain extremely focused on tasks
• Strong technical knowledge in computers/software
• Solid research and report writing skills
• Preference towards working as part of a team
• Friendly attitude and willingness to learn
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with all levels of management and outside organizations to represent the company in a positive and professional manner
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Work environment:
• Able to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment
• Able to work in cold conditions; ability to withstand prolonged work assignments in temperatures as low as 34 degrees Fahrenheit throughout the shift
• Technicians may work near moving mechanical parts and moderate noise levels - Exposure to food grade chemicals may occur
