The Production Trainer reports to the Meat Department Plant Manager and is responsible for creation, implementation and execution of the plant training program. This individual works alongside production Associates to ensure they are fully competent in their role and increase their knowledge on plant processes. This includes maintaining and updating training records to ensure that Associates have met all company training requirements for company and regulatory compliance
General Responsibilities
- Ensures Associates are fully trained and works alongside those Associates until they are fully capable of performing their assigned positions.
- Coordinate and manage the new Associate training program, annual refresher training, including all details on core job tasks, schedule, coordination of materials and paperwork for practice assemblies, and documentation of learning as needed within the electronic learning management system.
- Provide final recommendation on Associate position proficiency or the need to provide further training. Coordinate refresher training classes as needed.
- Facilitate Train the Trainer sessions with Supervisors and assistants on the production floor and in classroom settings, using learning models and theory.
- Maintain standard operating procedures, forms, job training aids, and training records for all training sessions executed.
- Partner with Risk/EHS Management and outside vendors to address training questions that arise regarding safety issues. This may involve OSHA requirements.
- Perform other work-related job duties as required.
Work Schedule + Benefits
- Full-time position, (Exempt)
o Hours: 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.; some overtime as needed
o 5 days per week, rotating schedule and alternating days off
o Weekend and holiday availability required
- Pay Range is $70,100 to 80,100/ Annually
o The above represents the expected pay range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we will consider your experience and other job-related factors

Job Requirements:
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience as a trainer in a food manufacturing environment who has had broad responsibility for training; 1+ years preferred
- Expertise in delivering classroom and on the job training; 1+ years required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish; a plus
Physical Demands/Requirements:
- Ability to lift a minimum of 70 lbs.
- Cold working conditions - Ability to withstand prolonged work assignments in cold temperatures
- Maintain constant mental focus and constantly be aware of surroundings
