We have an excellent opportunity for a full time Paralegal II with our Legal Department, based in our Irvine, CA office.  This position will support our in-house attorneys, as well as provide overall support for the Legal team. 

*This position is full-time, in-office only. 

General Responsibilities
  • Support attorneys in drafting correspondence, pleadings, discovery, subpoenas, and discovery motions
  • Maintain and update litigation files
  • Prepare case summaries
  • Manage and monitor litigation calendar
  • Document organization and maintenance
  • Interface with internal and external attorneys and paralegals on a regular basis
  • Investigate and research matters as directed
  • Assist with contract review and maintenance
  • Administrative duties may include photocopying, answering, and directing phone calls
  • Assist with various administrative projects as needed 

Work Schedule + Benefits
  • Full-time position, Hourly (non-exempt)
  • Pay Range is $38.85 - $44.50 per hour 
    The above represents the expected pay range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we'll consider your experience and other job-related factors.
  • Office hours: M-F, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm 
  • Department needs may call for occasional overtime, including weekends at times 
  • Travel: This role involves occasional local travel

Job Requirements:
  • A minimum of 2-4 years’ experience in a Paralegal role required
  • Paralegal certification required
  • BA/BS required  
  • Civil litigation and procedure experience required 
  • Strong understanding of legal language and principles, filing procedures, litigation calendaring and processing, court pleadings and processes, and other related matters
  • Legal research and investigative skills
  • Experience in business and contract law
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and to exercise discretion and good judgment
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills through verbal and written communication
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills and proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced and, at times, stressful environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Positive attitude
  • Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities
  • Ability to work autonomously and independently, yet be an integral part of an overall team environment
  • Excellent knowledge of Adobe and Microsoft office software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook   

Work Location Details

In-N-Out Burger plans to bring its west coast headquarters team back together under one roof by the end of 2029. After maintaining two Southern California office locations for many years, the company will permanently close its Irvine office in 2029 and once again headquarter the company’s western territory solely in Baldwin Park, California, where the company was founded in 1948.

Newly hired Associates in Irvine will be eligible to participate in the group move to Tennessee with relocation assistance or work from our western headquarters in Baldwin Park, CA, upon its opening in 2029.
