Description & Requirements

We have an excellent opportunity for a full-time Meat Department Maintenance Technician II in our Chino, CA Meat production facility. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing maintenance tasks in the areas of PLC trouble shooting, electrical repairs and installations, VFD’s, Plumbing, Welding, and Fabrication. The ideal candidate will be able to work autonomously and maintain our building and equipment in the best possible condition. 
 
General Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on production equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Utilize the CMMS system to maintain accurate maintenance logs for all work completed on a work order 
  • Prioritize the needs of production while staying in compliance with GMP’s and Safety
  • Monitor equipment and identify opportunities for improvement or early failure detection.
 
Work Schedule + Benefits:

  • Full-time position, Hourly (non-exempt) 
  • Starting Pay Range: $35.20/HR- $40.00/HR per hour DOE
The above represents the expected pay range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we will consider your experience and other job-related factors
  • Hours: 3:00 pm- 11:30 pm
  • Some overtime as needed
  • 5 days per week Sun-Thurs or Tues-Sat 
  • Weekend and holiday availability required

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience within a food environment, preferably in meat processing
  • A solid foundation of Controls, Relays, Photo eyes, and Electrical Troubleshooting (24vac/vdc to 480vac)
  • Experience working with 3-phase motors, AB Powerflex VFD’s, Metal Detectors, Van der Graaf conveyor systems, Servo Motors & Drives 
  • Basic knowledge of Allen Bradley & Siemens PLC’s
  • Experience in Pneumatic and Hydraulics systems.
  • Experience in reading Schematics
  • TIG Welding & Fabrication is a plus
  • Basic knowledge of air compressors, boilers and water softeners

Physical Demands/Requirements:

  • Ability to lift a minimum of 70 lbs. 
  • Cold working conditions - Ability to withstand prolonged work assignments in temperatures as low as 34 degrees Fahrenheit; Temperature fluctuations in the warehouse  
  • Ability to move freely in and around obstacles common in the meat production room
