We have an excellent opportunity for a full-time Truck Washer currently based in our Chino, CA facility.  The Truck Washer is responsible for fueling, washing, and overall cleanliness, both interior and exterior of the company’s diverse fleet.
A key part of this role also involves maintaining In-N-Out’s core values and Mission Purpose Statement in helping to keep the facility, wash bays, and fueling stations clean, organized, and safe.

General Responsibilities

  • Operate high-pressure water hoses to clean and sanitize trailer interiors, ensuring all wash standards are met.
  • Fuel tractors, trailers, and other company vehicles, ensuring each unit is clean, safe, and ready for operation.
  • Perform detailed washing and interior cleaning of various fleet vehicles, including delivery units, cookout trucks, and support vehicles.
  • Conduct steam cleaning of delivery trailers and engine compartments and assist with the upkeep of wash and fuel island equipment.
  • Maintain and safely operate all cleaning equipment including pressure washers, vacuums, fuel pumps, and personal protective equipment.
  • Maneuver CMVs on company property and in/out of wash and shop bays as needed.
  • Assist with basic maintenance tasks, such as repairing hoses and hose reels, and help other departments with equipment pick-ups or shop custodial tasks.
  • Communicate regularly with fleet, warehouse, and other teams regarding vehicle assignments and readiness.
  • Complete vehicle inspection reports and cleaning logs clearly and accurately using company tablets or forms.
  • Report mechanical defects or issues immediately to the appropriate personnel.
  • Follow supervisor instructions and safety protocols with attention to detail.
  • Support associates with tasks like uncoupling/coupling tractors and organizing equipment.
  • Perform thorough post-trip inspections including lights, tires, fluids, belts, and telematics systems to ensure vehicle readiness.
  • Follow all regulations and protocols during cleaning and fueling operations.
  • Demonstrate initiative in learning basic mechanical repairs such as lights, mudflaps, and minor equipment fixes.
  • Adhere to all safety rules and wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
  • Work safely and effectively in outdoor conditions, around loud noise, heavy machinery, and moving vehicles.

Work Schedule + Benefits

  • Full-time position, Hourly (non-exempt)
  • Hours: 6:00am – 2:30pm, Tuesday - Saturday
  • Weekend and holiday availability required; Overtime as necessary

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid California Driver's License
  • Forklift certified (preferred)
  • Basic knowledge of MS Office
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • Dependable and reliable; excellent time management skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with all levels of management
  • Ability to lift 50lbs.
  • Ability to work with heavy machinery
  • Experience using an electric riding pallet jack and hand-truck (preferred)
