We have an excellent opportunity for a full-time Crate Wash Operator in our Chino, CA Meat Department. The Crate Wash Operator is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness of crates and pallets for our production teams. This will include the need to operate the crate wash machine and maintain a high level of communication with the Crate Wash and Production leaders to ensure that the rooms have the necessary crates and pallets to continue producing. Experience in production or sanitation is a plus.

General Responsibilities:

  • Primary Duties:
    • Cleaning of meat and spread crates, which requires crate wash machine operation and working with chemicals and pressure hoses. 
    • Conduct chemical checks throughout the shift
    • Use all proper cleaning procedures to ensure that both In-N-Out Burger and USDA standards are achieved
    • Understand and follow all safety policies and procedures at all times
    • Must be self-motivated and able to work without constant supervision
    • Attention to detail (Condition of equipment and Cleanliness)
  • Secondary Duties:
    • Assisting Operational Sanitation ( i.e. mid shift sanitation in Meat Receiving, Boning Room and Patty Room)
    • Washing vats 
    • Dry pick up in production areas 

Work Schedule + Benefits:

  • Full-time position, Hourly (non-exempt) 
  • Pay Range: $23.75 to $25.50/hourly DOE
The above represents the expected pay range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we'll consider your experience and other job-related factors
  • Day Hours: Must be available to start as early as 4:00AM 
  • 5 days per week (Rotating Schedule)
  • Weekend and holiday availability required

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • One (1) year experience working in a meat facility or similar responsibilities (Preferred) 
  • Sanitation experience in a food processing plant (Preferred)
  • Ability to read chemical labels and follow safe handling procedures for food products
  • Forklift or electric pallet jack experience (Plus)

Physical Demands/Requirements:

  • Ability to lift a minimum of 70 lbs. 
  • Ability to climb ladders and work at heights
  • Ability to withstand varied weather conditions, such as cold and heat, extreme wet, within closed surroundings
  • Will work in cold, damp environments.
  • Production room temperatures are as low as 26 degrees Fahrenheit
  • Position requires frequent lifting, standing, reaching, climbing, pulling, stooping, bending, and kneeling
  • Maintain constant mental focus and constantly be aware of surroundings
