We have an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated Accounting Manager based in our Irvine, CAoffice. This role will focus specifically on Accounts Payable and Procurement operations, with a strong emphasis on process optimization, workflow automation, and team leadership.

The Accounting Manager is an integral part of the accounting leadership team, responsible for overseeing AP/PO matching, supplier master maintenance, and PPD and accrued account reconciliations. This person will lead a team of 6–7, provide developmental support, and partner cross-functionally to enhance system use and operational efficiency. This position reports to the Assistant Controller.

*This position is 100% in-office and based in Irvine, CA.

General Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all Accounts Payable and Procurement operations, including PO matching, invoice processing, and supplier master file maintenance
  • Provide hands-on leadership and coaching to a team of 6–7, with varying experience levels
  • Manage team performance, development, and engagement—especially important as many team members are internal promotions or early in their careers
  • Own reconciliations for PPD and accrued accounts
  • Lead system and workflow enhancements to improve invoice processing, AP/PO automation, and ERP utilization
  • Partner cross-functionally with departments such as Maintenance, IT, and Real Estate to ensure optimal AP/Procurement functionality
  • Play an active role in ERP-related projects, including workflow rollout and future Supply Chain ERP implementation
  • Balance compliance with a collaborative, service-minded approach
  • Support month-end close and contribute to reporting as needed
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and demonstrate a culture of care, transparency, and accountability

Work Schedule + Benefits:
  • Full-time, Salaried, Exempt
  • Salary Range: $125,000 – $175,000 annually. This represents the expected pay range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we will consider your experience and other job-related factors.
  • Office Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
  • Active CPA license required
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting experience, including a mix of public and private sector work
  • 2–5 years of supervisory or management experience
  • Experience leading AP and/or Procurement teams (preferred)
  • Demonstrated ability to build team morale, develop talent, and lead with humility
  • Excellent communication skills, clear, concise, and professional
  • Proactive, solutions-oriented, and able to manage ambiguity or shifting priorities
  • Strong technical skills, including:
  • Oracle ERP 
  • Excel (advanced proficiency required)
  • Procurement workflow tools (preferred)

Work Location Details
In-N-Out Burger plans to bring its west coast headquarters team back together under one roof by the end of 2029. After maintaining two Southern California office locations for many years, the company will permanently close its Irvine office in 2029 and once again headquarter the company’s western territory solely in Baldwin Park, California, where the company was founded in 1948.
Newly hired Associates in Irvine will be eligible to participate in the group move to Tennessee with relocation assistance or work from our western headquarters in Baldwin Park, CA, upon its opening in 2029.
