The In-N-Out Burger Risk Management team has an excellent opportunity for a Worker’s Compensation Claims Administrator in the Irvine, CA* corporate support office.  The Worker’s Compensation (WC) Claims Administrator reports directly to the Senior Claims Manager, and is responsible for reviewing and investigating all reports of Associate/Employee injury.  This person should have an excellent understanding of California Worker’s Compensation processes and procedures.  Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.    

*This position is full time, in-office only


General Responsibilities
  • Review and respond to associate injury reports; Send reports to Store Managers and Department managers throughout the day
  • Respond to inquiries from associates regarding open Worker’s Compensation (WC) issues; Help associates with their WC issues
  • Set up WC claims and correspondence to associate, per jurisdiction
  • Evaluate accident reports; Compile facts and data regarding accident reports and filed cases
  • Review medical reports and update work status; Follow up with the stores to report work status
  • Review and respond to correspondence from adjusters, attorneys, and medical providers
  • Respond to inquiries from Restaurant/Store operations; Partner with the Store Managers, District Managers, and Human Resources
  • Complete period-end reports
  • Assist in training management on WC policies and procedures

  • Office location: Irvine, CA
  • Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-5:00 pm; or, can choose a 9/80 work schedule

Qualifications
  • Experience: 4-7 years of claims adjusting experience in California
  • Must have strong Workers Comp experience in the state of CA
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required; will accept WC experience in lieu of a degree 
  • Working knowledge of the Workers' Compensation Act, city regulations and other applicable state/federal statutes and regulations
  • Ability to obtain facts that ensure that claims information is complete and accurate
  • Ability to read, assimilate facts, and to search for and obtain information
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite 
  • Strong Customer Service orientation; desire to serve In-N-Out Burger associates in a caring manner
  • Proven ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously while remaining organized, detailed, and flexible 
  • Ability to communicate and interact professionally with all levels of management
  • Ability to maintain strict confidence
