The Staff Accountant is responsible for providing support to all accounting related functions with a strong analytical background. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for preparing periodic journal entries and account reconciliations to support an accurate and timely financial close. 

*This position is 100% in office and will be based in Irvine, CA.

General Responsibilities:

• Assist with the period-end close process by reviewing and completing assigned period-end functions while also performing reconciliations and maintaining documentation related to balance sheet accounts.
• Perform period over period and year over year variance analysis for expense accounts. 
• Reconcile various balance sheet accounts on a periodic/quarterly basis.
• Prepare period end journal entries.
• Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
• Prepare reports for external departments
• Perform other work-related job duties as required.

Work Schedule + Benefits

• Full-time, Hourly, Non-Exempt

• Pay Ranges as follows:
• Staff Accountant I: $33.90 – $39.75 an hour
• Staff Accountant II: $38.25 - $47.85 an hour
  The above represents the expected pay range for this job requisition.  Ultimately, in determining your pay, we will consider your experience and other job-related factors.

• Office Hours: Mon-Fri, 8:00 am-5:00 pm

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
• Knowledge of US GAAP
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to problem solve.
• Detail oriented with a high degree of accuracy.  Exceptional relationship building skills coupled with strong communication abilities.
• 1-5  years of relevant accounting experience
