We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Accountant who will be responsible for providing support to all accounting related functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical background, GAAP and financial statement preparation experience. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for preparing periodic journal entries and account reconciliations to support an accurate and timely financial close. The Senior Accountant effectively communicates and escalates issues and information to appropriate Accounting leaders in a timely manner. The Senior Accountant must have an active CPA License, will work closely with the Accounting Team and report to the Accounting Manager.

*This position is 100% in office and will be based in Irvine, CA.

General Responsibilities:

Prepare periodic general journal entries, account reconciliations, and various other accounting statements and reports and provides interpretation of results as appropriate to support an accurate and timely periodic financial close. Ensure that the general ledger is closed within the timelines of the Company’s closing schedule.
Perform period over period and year over year variance analysis for expense accounts. Ensure that all financial statements are presented in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and appropriate financial variance analyses are provided timely to management.
Prepare periodic reporting designed to assist operations and departments with understanding specific results.
Review leases and lease abstracts, enters lease information in software systems and ensures proper accounting for lease agreements.
Assist with special projects including testing system enhancements, report development and establishing new account reconciliations.
Support annual audit by gathering support for audit requests and preparing audit schedules.
Assist in the continued development and documentation of policies, procedures, and internal controls. Identify process improvements to increase accuracy and efficiency.

Work Schedule + Benefits

Full-time, Salaried, Exempt
Pay Range is $86,000-$115,000

The above represents the expected pay range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we will consider your experience and other job-related factors.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
CPA required
3-7 years of accounting experience, working as an accountant for a public or private company.
1-2 years of public accounting experience preferred
Strong GAAP Knowledge (specifically cost of sales, lease accounting, prepaids, and liabilities)
Strong analytical skills and the ability to problem solve. Detail oriented with a high degree of accuracy. Exceptional relationship building skills coupled with strong communication abilities.
