The S&OP Manager is a key role within In-N-Out’s supply chain, with direct responsibility and oversight over the entire sales and operations planning function that includes supply/capacity planning, demand planning, network optimization, inventory management, and inventory accuracy/master data management. This role engages in all levels of the organization and guides each functional area in understanding how it impacts the S&OP process. This role will lead multiple types of projects including monthly demand plans, consumption models, network/production strategy optimization, new product launches, and marketing initiatives that further strengthen our brand. This leader assumes both strategic and tactical responsibilities, facilitates each S&OP meetings across all warehouses, and has a proven track record of collaborating effectively with all levels of the organization.
General Responsibilities
Create and rollout our S&OP process across all warehouses:
- Lead a monthly recurring S&OP schedule in partnership with demand planning, supply planning, manufacturing, and warehousing.
- Develop the ongoing process, metrics and reporting to enable cross-functional coordination and planning across all supply chain functions.
- Leads meeting discussions and decisions to ensure execution to completion.
Supply Planning and Project Management:
- Manage the replenishment process for all critical items and oversee the supply of Noncritical items.
- Interface with procurement through weekly meetings, Monthly S&OP alignments and daily interactions as needed to gain alignment on the Supply Plans
- Lead cross-functional projects requiring supply chain support, such as marketing initiatives, inventory ramp-up/ramp-down initiatives, new store openings.
- Evaluate Supply Risks (Vendor capacities, Quality concerns, weather, etc.) model impacts to the business and develop actions plans to work together with the various Supply and Operation functions to mitigate any supply risk.
Inventory Management:
- Establish processes that support inventory accuracy and optimization of inventory levels.
- Determine optimum inventory levels by item based on lead time, MOQs, sales history, seasonality.
- Minimize product expiration and stockouts through process enhancements and reporting.
Strategic Planning:
- Lead S&OP for meat/spread production with short-term and long-term forecasts.
- Work with Operations to assist in developing mid to long term forecasts based on past performances.
- Conduct capacity and volume scenarios upon request due to market condition changes, supply constraints, etc.
Build and develop a high-performing team:
- Create and establish an inventory controls organization that supports our warehouses with clearly defined processes/metrics enabling inventory accuracy.
- Build out team to support the overall S&OP process across all warehouses.
Demand Planning and Forecasting:
- Analyze forecast and volume trends at Region, Division and Store level as needed to provide input to other key functions to minimize out of stocks and extra supply chain costs.
- Work with the Operations team to gain insights around the forecast such as new store openings, price changes or special events.
- Evaluate historical sales data and statistical analysis.
Work Schedule + Benefits
- Full-time, Exempt
- Hours: 8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday through Friday
- Overtime as necessary
- Occasional travel for visits to In-N-Out Burger Warehouses, which may include nights & weekends.

- Pay Range is $137,000 - $182,000 annually
- The above represents the expected pay range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we'll consider your experience and other job-related factors.
Job Requirements:
Qualifications
- 5+ years Supply Chain, Planning, Warehousing, Logistics/Distribution, Inventory Management; Required
- 1-2 years of supervisory or managerial experience
- Certified Supply Chain Professional (APICS)
- Bachelor’s Degree in any supply chain or business required
- Food industry experience preferred
- Proficient in managing multiple projects concurrently, setting priorities and working cross functionally while consistently delivering on commitments and meeting deadlines. Asana experience a plus.
- Able to work in an environment with frequent interruptions and changing tasks and priorities.
- Ability to effectively communicate on complex issues with a high level of effectiveness.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. Must be able to collaborate with users of all skill levels.
- Demonstrated knowledge of supply chain information systems, methods, and practices.
