We have an excellent opportunity for a full-time Production Trainer based in our Chino, CA, warehouse. The Production Trainer will report to the Meat Department Plant Manager and is responsible for the creation, implementation, and execution of the plant training program. As the Production Trainer, you will work alongside production Associates to ensure they are fully competent and increase their knowledge of plant processes.
 
General Responsibilities:

Primary responsibility will be to oversee and implement the new Associate Training Program. This includes training and validating performance against established training objectives and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Coordinate and manage the new Associate Training Program. This includes understanding core job tasks, scheduling training, and maintaining training records. 
Facilitate training sessions with Supervisors and Assistant Supervisors on the production floor and in classroom settings, using training models and theory.
Maintain SOPs, forms, job training aids, and training records for all training sessions executed.
Provide final recommendation on Associate proficiency or the need for further training and development. Coordinate refresher training classes as needed.
Partner with Risk Management and outside vendors to address training questions that arise regarding safety issues. This may involve OSHA requirements.
Adhere to safe work practices, maintain sanitary conditions, and ensure product quality. Management reports any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, quality, or personnel safety.
Perform all technician duties with pride and craftsmanship while fostering a culture of teamwork, cooperation, occupational safety, and dedication to helping others succeed.
Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Work Schedule + Benefits:

Full-time position, Salary (Exempt)
Salary Range: $63,500- $73,500 DOE
 The above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition. Ultimately, we'll consider your experience and other job-related factors in determining your pay.
5 days per week, set schedule; Eight (8) hour shifts starting 7:00 am -4:00 pm; some overtime as needed
Weekend and holiday availability required
Minimal travel (10-20%) is required between our warehouses (Chino, CA, Lathrop, CA, Lancaster, TX) as needed. The frequency and extent of travel will vary depending on the volume and nature of positions in each facility.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree preferred. 
A minimum of 3-5 years of related experience in a food manufacturing environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. 
Ability to successfully motivate Associates, communicate effectively, and create and maintain a highly organized, safe, positive, and professional working environment.
Energetic, creative, and self-directed leader with strong interpersonal and organizational skills
Detail orientated, excellent problem-solving skills.
Able to analyze production data to determine trends, identify opportunities, and drive improvements.
Detail-oriented nature and ability to adapt to change and lead others through change.
Experience in a production environment using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar is preferred.
