Description & Requirements

We have an excellent opportunity for a full-time Meat Department Maintenance Technician in our Chino, A production facility. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing maintenance tasks in the areas of PLC trouble shooting, electrical repairs and installations, VFD’s, Painting, Pluming, Welding, and Fabrication. The ideal candidate will be able to work autonomously and maintain our building and equipment in the best possible condition. 
 
General Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance of electrical, hydraulic, plumbing and mechanical systems.
  • Assist in the repairing machinery in the Meat department.
  • Perform repairs on building doors, door locks, windows etc.
  • Perform general upkeep on tasks assigned by the Work Order System or Supervisor. 
 
Work Schedule + Benefits

  • Full-time position, Hourly (non-exempt) 
  • Starting Pay Range: $33.56/HR- $40.00/HR per hour DOE
The above represents the expected pay range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we will consider your experience and other job-related factors
  • Hours: 4:00 am to 12:30 pm; 7:00 am-3:30 pm; 3:00 pm- 11:30 pm
  • Some overtime as needed
  • 5 days per week, rotating schedule and alternating days off 
  • Weekend and holiday availability required

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience within a meat processing environment, including a solid foundation of Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Electrical/Electronic, and Welding & Fabrication is a plus
  • Experience working with VFDS, Metal Detectors, Servo Drives 
  • Basic knowledge of PLC & plant automation is a plus
 
Physical Demands/Requirements:

  • Ability to lift a minimum of 70 lbs. 
  • Cold working conditions - Ability to withstand prolonged work assignments in temperatures as low as 34 degrees Fahrenheit; Temperature fluctuations in the warehouse  
  • Ability to move freely in and around obstacles common in the meat production room
