In-N-Out Burger has an excellent opportunity for a full-time HRIS Manager based in Irvine, CA. As part of In-N-Out’s HR Team, the HRIS Manager oversees the design, implementation, and maintenance of the company’s HRIS system as well as other HR-related systems and tools, which includes off-the-shelf technology and internally developed systems.  This position serves as a technical point-of-contact for information systems supporting HR planning and develops, implements, and modifies systems based on business requirements. This position manages integrations, workflows, configurations, and user acceptance testing for all systems.  In addition, this position will oversee and delegate work to an HRIS Analyst as necessary. The HRIS Manager is a key leadership role in the HR department, leading strategy for technology and systems, and collaborating externally with technology partners and internally with other functional areas (IT, Finance, Payroll, etc.). 

*This role is full-time, in office only. Relocation to Southern California available. 

General Responsibilities
  • HRIS Functional Management:  Provide guidance in the strategy, design, implementation, and maintenance of HR Systems. Lead the development and design of the HR systems and relevant modules.  Customize and configure the HCM system and other Human Resources systems to In-N-Out’s processes.  Partner with IT and other subject matter experts to ensure optimal use of systems, integrations and business requirements.
  • Technology Trends: Maintain awareness of current trends in HR technology and People Analytics with a focus on product and service development, compliance, and support.  
  • Vendor Management: Manage vendors, contracts, and relationships, including SaaS providers and implementation partners.  Escalate service tickets and manage resolutions, including root cause analysis and remediation. 
  • System Maintenance: Consult with key stakeholders to ensure data integrity, testing of system changes, report and dashboard creation, and analyzing workflows for process improvement opportunities. Work with functional and technical teams to coordinate application upgrades with other tools or systems. Coordinate the review, testing and implementation of HR information system upgrades or changes. Engage in and support other technical projects as relevant.
  • Projects/Process Improvement: Use project management skills to develop project plans and monitor HRIS initiatives.  Identify gaps between current and future state of business processes and prioritize opportunities to improve processes.  Recommend process improvements, innovative solutions and ways to remain compliant with policy and regulatory requirements. 
  • People Analytics: Apply knowledge of HR information systems and other software in extracting and analyzing current, historical, and forecasted data to support strategic workforce planning and forecasting. Lead HR reporting and analytics function and serve as expert resource for all HR data needs.  Oversees the creation and maintenance of a variety of reports or queries utilizing appropriate reporting tools. Maintains data integrity in systems by running queries and analyzing data. Builds reports in various platforms, combining data from multiple systems.
  • Change Leadership and Training: Collaborate with our Talent and Organizational Development team to develop user procedures, guidelines and documentation to encourage and enable user adoption. Train and develop team members on new processes/functionality and delegate the training of new system users.
  • Team:  Work under the general supervision of the HR Department Head who sets goals and objectives. Associate is expected to administer and maintain information systems without the need for assistance other than higher level, external technical support when necessary. Lead and direct the HRIS Analyst and assign projects and responsibilities as appropriate. Works closely and collaborates with the IT department on all initiatives. 
  • User Support: Oversee and support the HR systems including, but not limited to Associate support and problem solving. Identify trends and ways to proactively resolve gaps. Research and resolve system problems; recommend solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements. Incorporates the support of the HRIS Analyst and other internal IT resources as necessary.

Office Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-5:00 pm
Additional time may be required as job duties demand.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in HR, computer science or related functions.
  • Requires five to seven (5 - 7) years of a combination of professional experience in information systems management and/or human resource management systems, including Core HR, Total Rewards (and integration with GL and accounting systems) and Applicant Tracking Systems.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of HR information systems, methods, and practices. Knowledge and demonstrated skill in data and database management methods and practices.
  • Prior experience managing enterprise/large scale projects, including HCM implementation and configuration experience.
  • 1-2 years of HRIS supervisory or managerial experience
  • Proficient in managing multiple projects concurrently, setting priorities and working cross functionally while consistently delivering on commitments and meeting deadlines.  Asana experience a plus.
  • Able to work in an environment with frequent interruptions and changing tasks and priorities.
  • Ability to effectively communicate on complex issues with a high level of effectiveness.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.  Must be able to collaborate with users of all skill levels.
