The In-N-Out Burger Community Engagement Team has an excellent opportunity for a Fundraising Manager in our Irvine, CA* office. This position will report to the Community Engagement Department Head and is responsible for being the driving force behind fundraising efforts for both the In-N-Out Burger and Slave 2 Nothing Foundations. This person will oversee donor activity and the team responsible for fundraising events. This person will be a part of the Community Engagement Department including the In-N-Out Burger Foundation (INOBF), Slave 2 Nothing Foundation (S2N), Community Outreach, and Corporate Giving.

*This position is full-time, in-office only

General Responsibilities
  • Oversee fundraising team – Lead, train, develop, and manage the team responsible for all fundraising
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive strategic fundraising plan with goals that include enlarging and diversifying the donor base and increasing individual (customer, community and major gifts) and institutional (vendor and corporate) support
  • Partners with INOBF and S2N Executive Directors and other strategic leaders in establishing immediate and long term fundraising goals 
  • Oversee and provide support to the Charitable Events Supervisor and team
  • Develop and manage company-wide giving opportunities
  • Identify new donor bases, conduct research on fundraising opportunities and solicit funding 
  • Partner with Marketing Department and Foundation Executive Directors to execute marketing efforts including in-store campaigns/can drives, social media, marketing, etc.
  • Direct and oversee effective database management of all donor records
  • Attend and provide support at all In-N-Out fundraising events
  • Work together with INOBF and S2N leadership to craft messages and speak publicly on behalf of the Foundations
  • Develop strong working relationships throughout the company, and with outside organizations and vendors, as an extension of the Foundations and Community Engagement Department
  • Professionally represent In-N-Out Burger with businesses, non-profits, foundations, grant makers, and the broader community as needed 
  • Reflect the ideals of the company, keep department and company information confidential
  • Be part of a team-oriented department and assist in other areas as needed

  • Full-time position, Exempt
  • Pay Range is $105,000 - $145,000 annually 
    The above represents the expected pay range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we will consider your experience and other job-related factors.
  • Office Hours in Irvine, CA: Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-5:00 pm 
  • Department needs will call for occasional evenings and weekends
  • Travel time: It is anticipated that 10-20% of the work time will be spent onsite at fundraising and Community Engagement events; out of state travel may be required

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Fundraising, Communications, Administration or related field is required; Master’s degree is preferred
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Fundraising/Development
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a Supervisory/Management/Leadership role
  • Strong talent for building relationships and a proven track record in securing funds from various sources, foundations, trusts and major donors
  • Leader and mentor of teams
  • Experience in development of donor programs, including donor marketing, donor care and company giving programs preferred
  • Experience working in a nonprofit/foundation organization 
  • Extensive knowledge of fundraising best practices and strategies
  • Excellent public speaking skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and networking skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships 
  • Proven history of working in a collaborative environment
  • Candidate should be enthusiastic, personable, team oriented, and represent In-N-Out Burger and the Foundations in a positive manner
  • Willingness to travel as needed (10-20%), both local and out-of-state

ABOUT the Community Engagement department

The In-N-Out Burger Foundation was established in 1995 with the goal of raising funds to assist abused and neglected children in the communities where we live and do business.  

In 2016, the Slave 2 Nothing Foundation was established to educate and assist in solutions to eliminate human trafficking as well as focus on those needing treatment, rehabilitation and prevention from drug/alcohol abuse. Our Fundraising Team supports both foundations with small and large scaled fundraising efforts as well as collaborating with Community Impact on volunteer opportunities for our In-N-Out Burger Associates and their families.
