We have an excellent opportunity for a full-time Fixed Asset Accountant in our Irvine, CA* office. The Fixed Asset Accountant will report into the Accounting Manager and be responsible for managing the company’s fixed assets, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and audit support. This role requires a strong understanding of GAAP, advanced analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

*This role is based 100% in office

Responsibilities

Fixed Asset Management:

Maintain detailed records of company fixed assets, including capitalization, depreciation, and disposals.
Track assets across multiple locations, including stores, restaurants, and corporate offices.
Reconcile the fixed asset register with the general ledger on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

Depreciation Calculation and Reporting:

Calculate and record depreciation expenses for all fixed assets following company policies and accounting standards (GAAP).
Review depreciation schedules and ensure alignment with the useful life and condition of assets.

Audit and Compliance:

Prepare and support internal and external audits related to fixed assets.
Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and accounting principles.

Capital Expenditure (CapEx) Reporting:

Monitor and report on capital expenditures, ensuring alignment with budgetary guidelines.
Collaborate with operations and finance teams on construction, renovations, and equipment purchases.
Track and report on leased equipment and properties.

Collaboration with Cross-functional Teams:

Work closely with operations, procurement, construction, and other departments to ensure accurate asset tracking.
Provide financial insights to management on asset performance for informed decision-making.

Project Accounting:

Utilize Oracle Project Accounting to ensure projects throughout the organization are properly accounted for.

Work Schedule + Benefits

Full-time, Hourly, Non-Exempt
Hourly Range is *$42.00-$50.00/hr. *represents the expected pay range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we will consider your experience and other job-related factors.
Office Hours: Mon-Fri, 8:00 am-5:00 pm

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required.
3-5 years of experience as a Fixed Asset Accountant.
Strong knowledge of GAAP, particularly in fixed assets.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Oracle, SAGE, and advanced Excel skills.
Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
