We have an excellent opportunity for a full time Event Technology Specialist II in our Irvine, CA office!  

In this role, you'll be responsible for ensuring a seamless and efficient registration process for events at In-N-Out Burger! Reporting to the Events Department Manager, you'll develop and manage registration websites, mobile apps, surveys, email communications, and reporting systems, playing a key role in both pre-event planning and on-site execution!

On-site, you'll lead event registration logistics, including training staff and volunteers, setting up and managing registration equipment, troubleshooting attendee issues, and ensuring a smooth check-in process.

This role also focuses on advancing event technology, identifying new solutions, improving workflows, and training teams on Cvent or other event management software.

 *This position is full-time, in-office only

General Responsibilities
  • Lead event registration and technology efforts by building, testing, and managing complex registration websites, surveys, mobile apps, email communications, and other pre-event processes, including reporting.
  • Oversee event registration processes by training staff and volunteers, generating reports, creating or duplicating registration websites, uploading and managing attendee data, testing functionality, and ensuring seamless execution within the registration software.
  • Travel to and manage on-site event registration operations, including setting up registration equipment, training staff and volunteers, overseeing check-in, troubleshooting issues, providing customer support, and handling teardown.
  • Evaluate and enhance registration processes by identifying areas for improvement, researching and recommending new event technologies, and implementing updates with planning teams.
  • Develop, test, and optimize event apps to ensure they align with attendee needs, event goals, and provide a seamless user experience.
  • Train and support event planning teams on both new and existing event registration software and technology, ensuring they have the tools and knowledge to execute events effectively.
  • Utilize event management software such as Cvent or similar platforms to support attendee registration, engagement, and event logistics.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to understand event registration needs, provide technical expertise, and deliver solutions that enhance event success.

Work Schedule + Benefits
  • Full-time position, Exempt
  • Pay Range is $77,500-$97,000
  • The above represents the expected pay range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we will consider your experience and other job-related factors.
  • Office Hours in Irvine, CA: Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-5:00 pm 
  • Travel: Approximately 8-10 weeks overnight travel per year and occasional weekend travel needed up to 50% of the time.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Business, Technology, or a related field preferred. 
  • 4+ years of experience in event registration or event technology, with experience building and managing event registration websites (Cvent highly preferred or similar platforms). Knowledge of event registration or ticketing, web design, IT, or coding is a plus. 
  • Proven ability to provide high-level customer service, troubleshoot in real time, and handle urgent issues with professionalism and composure.
  • Ability to train and lead on-site registration teams, ensuring smooth check-in processes and exceptional attendee experiences.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments, vendors, executives, and event planners to align registration needs with overall event goals.
  • Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to work long hours and weekends as needed to accommodate last-minute or unforeseen travel changes.
  • Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel. Asana experience is highly preferred.

Physical Demands/Requirements
  • This position frequently requires standing, walking, reaching, twisting, and carrying, with the ability to lift up to 40 pounds.

Work Location Details 
In-N-Out Burger plans to bring its west coast headquarters team back together under one roof by the end of 2029. After maintaining two Southern California office locations for many years, the company will permanently close its Irvine office in 2029 and once again headquarter the company’s western territory solely in Baldwin Park, California, where the company was founded in 1948. Newly hired Associates in Irvine will be eligible to participate in the group move to Tennessee with relocation assistance or work from our western headquarters in Baldwin Park, CA, upon its opening in 2029.
