Come join our family at In-N-Out Burger! The In-N-Out Burger Community Engagement Team has an excellent opportunity for a Community Impact Coordinator based full-time onsite in our Irvine, CA office!  

Reporting to the Community Impact Supervisor, this role provides essential support for day-to-day activities, including handling administrative tasks, customer service, communications, and processes—all to facilitate serving hope in our community. 
 
Responsibilities 
  • Coordinate tasks that support the team’s efforts around community giving. 
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to stores, departments, and community organizations. 
  • Create communications to Associates and handle inquiries from internal and external sources, ensuring these are managed timely, effectively and properly 
  • Use established guidelines to determine alignment with company giving priorities, ensuring program resources are directed towards the most impactful initiatives. 
  • Conduct thorough due diligence by reviewing submitted materials and following up with inquiries to verify request legitimacy and ensure adherence to program criteria. 
  • Develop and curate reports emphasizing compelling impact stories, highlighting community impact initiatives to raise awareness of the department's mission and impact. 
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed to adapt to the evolving needs of the role and organization. 

Work Schedule + Benefits 
  • Full-time, Hourly, Non-Exempt 
  • Hourly Pay Range: $30.00 - $32.00  
  • The above represents the expected pay range for this position. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we will consider your experience and other job-related factors. 
  • Office Hours in Irvine, CA: Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-5:00 pm  
  • Department needs will call for occasional evenings and weekends

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Communications, or a related field.
  • Experience in volunteerism, community programs, or corporate giving initiatives, with familiarity in nonprofit sector operations and challenges highly preferred. 
  • Skilled with computers and everyday office tasks – like handling calls, managing calendars, typing, using Outlook, and navigating basic software. 
  • Skilled communicator, both written and verbal, with a strong commitment to delivering excellent customer service. 
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Efficient at organizing and managing resources to support team and project goals. 
  • Adaptable and proactive in taking on new responsibilities as the role and organization evolve. 
  • Tech-savvy and comfortable with new digital tools and platforms. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and project management tools (e.g., Asana, Trello) 

Qualifications for INO Associates  
  • In-N-Out Burger Store experience: At least four (4) years 
  • Must be a Level 6 or higher 
  • Associate must be in good standing with the store (no written warnings within the last year preferred) 
 
Work Location Details 
In-N-Out Burger plans to bring its west coast headquarters team back together under one roof by the end of 2029. After maintaining two Southern California office locations for many years, the company will permanently close its Irvine office in 2029 and once again headquarter the company’s western territory solely in Baldwin Park, California, where the company was founded in 1948.  

Newly hired Associates in Irvine will be eligible to participate in the group move to Tennessee with relocation assistance or work from our western headquarters in Baldwin Park, CA, upon its opening in 2029. We are sharing this information early so candidates can make informed decisions while considering a career with In-N-Out Burger.

ABOUT the Community Engagement Department 
The In-N-Out Burger Foundation was established in 1995 with the goal of raising funds to assist abused and neglected children in the communities where we live and do business.   

In 2016, the Slave 2 Nothing Foundation was established to educate and assist in solutions to eliminate human trafficking as well as focus on those needing treatment, rehabilitation and prevention from drug/alcohol abuse. Our Fundraising Team supports both foundations with small and large scaled fundraising efforts and collaborates with Community Impact on volunteer opportunities for our In-N-Out Burger Associates and their families.
