The In-N-Out Burger Community Engagement team has an excellent opportunity for temporary Community Engagement Project Specialist based at our Irvine, CA* office. 

This is a temporary 6-month assignment where you will play a key role in supporting our department’s ongoing projects and initiatives. In this position, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the smooth execution of critical tasks and timely completion of projects.

Responsibilities 
  • Collaborate with multiple departments and teams, including charitable events, fundraising, volunteer teams, marketing, merchandising, and more, ensuring projects stay on schedule while effectively managing communication, meeting notes, and action items across all stakeholders. 
  • Assist with the RFP process for new fundraising software by helping to organize vendor demos, gather evaluations, and coordinate closely with internal teams to identify the best solutions.
  • Support the IT department in managing software upgrades and replacement projects, helping ensure smooth transitions and minimal disruptions.
  • Contribute to the implementation of Salesforce, providing hands-on support during the rollout and tailoring the system to fit organizational needs.
  • Provide support to the Community Engagement team by enhancing systems, ensuring technology aligns with ongoing initiatives, and assisting with other team projects as needed.

Work Schedule + Benefits
  • Temporary assignment, 6 months | Anticipated work dates: October 2024- April 2025* | Temp dates; work duration subject to change 
  • Full-time, Hourly, Non-Exempt 
  • Hourly Rate: $33.00 - $39.00
  • The above represents the expected pay range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we will consider your experience and other job-related factors.
  • Office Hours in Irvine, CA: Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-5:00 pm 
  • Department needs will call for occasional evenings and weekends
  • Travel time: It is anticipated that 10% of the work time will be spent on site at fundraising and Community Engagement events; out of state travel may be required 

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Project Management certification preferred.
  • 3-5 years of project management experience required.
  • Experience with nonprofit systems, including CRM or donor management systems, event registration platforms, or fundraising software, with Salesforce highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with tools like Cvent or similar platforms is a plus. 
  • Proficiency in Asana or other project management tools.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all management levels.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail, and strong time management and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Commitment to community service and a passion for upholding its ideals.

ABOUT the Community Engagement department
The In-N-Out Burger Foundation was established in 1995 with the goal of raising funds to assist abused and neglected children in the communities where we live and do business.  

In 2016, the Slave 2 Nothing Foundation was established to educate and assist in solutions to eliminate human trafficking as well as focus on those needing treatment, rehabilitation and prevention from drug/alcohol abuse. Our Fundraising Team supports both foundations with small and large scaled fundraising efforts as well as collaborating with Community Impact on volunteer opportunities for our In-N-Out Burger Associates and their families.
