Come join our family at In-N-Out Burger! We have an excellent opportunity for a full-time Benefits Partner II based in our Irvine, CA office*. The Benefits Partner will report into the Benefits Supervisor and be responsible for planning and administering the day-to-day operations of the company’s benefits and leave programs.

*This role is based 100% on-site in the office.

General Responsibilities

Health, Welfare, and Retirement Programs
  • Administers all employee benefit programs to include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, AD&D, STD, LTD, EAP, FSA, tuition reimbursement, 401(k) retirement plan, and other benefit offerings.
  • Manages online enrollments to ensure accurate and timely contribution deductions for paychecks.
  • Coordinates with benefit vendors for timely benefits processing, billing, and payment of monthly invoices. Perform periodic audits as needed.
  • Answers employee questions about benefit plans for active, COBRA, or retirees in a timely manner.
  • Partners with Plan Administrators, Carrier Representatives and Insurance Brokers to resolve benefit claim issues.
  • Research benefit plan options for new markets and make recommendations to leadership.

Leaves of Absence

  • Manages full-cycle leave administration from the initial notice of the need for the leave to the return to work. This includes gathering and completing all required paperwork, determining leave eligibility, designating leave as FMLA-qualifying, requesting medical certification as needed, and returning the employee back to work.
  • Maintain reasonable communication with employees and managers to facilitate smooth and timely return to work.
  • Drafts and/or recommends revisions to company leave policies to ensure compliance with internal policy and applicable laws.
  • Partners with the Human Resources Business Partner group on matters as needed.

Annual Open Enrollment

  • Participates in the Annual Open Enrollment process and the coordination of annual Health Fairs.

Work Schedule + Benefits

  • Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
  • Department needs may call for occasional overtime

  • Salary Pay Range : $70,000-$90,0000
  • The above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we will consider your experience and other job-related factors.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of three (3) years direct group benefits, leave and 401(k) administration experience required. Experience with multi-site, multi-state locations preferred. 
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or business administration is preferred.
  • Experience in a fast-paced high volume environment.
  • Must have ability to develop good working relationships with all levels of Associates, brokers and insurance carriers.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, are required along with the ability to effectively communicate plan designs, enrollment process and government regulations to all levels of Associates.
  • Professional and confidential in all interactions.
  • Must have excellent customer service skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to successfully plan, manage and execute projects.
  • Must be able to handle a variety of tasks simultaneously, self-directed and possess excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Must be flexible, able to reprioritize and respond to changing demands.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required.
  • Knowledge of federal and state laws regarding benefit programs, FMLA, CFRA, ADA, COBRA, HIPPA, ERISA and ACA is required.
